Meatball Sandwiches
YUM!
(makes 4)
Meatballs
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs - fresh or store bought
1/2 tablespoon finely diced onions (or 1 teaspoon onion powder)
1/2 tablespoon finely diced garlic (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
Mix all ingredients together and form into 24 balls.
Sauce
8 oz can tomato sauce
1/2 tablespoon finely diced onions (or 1 teaspoon onion powder)
1/2 tablespoon finely diced garlic (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)
Heat sauce ingredients in saucepot to boiling. Add meatballs, cover and let simmer for about 35 minutes. (You may place meatballs in baking dish, pour sauce over, cover with foil and bake 35 minutes instead.)
Sandwiches
4 wheat french rolls, sliced in half
8 slices pepperjack cheese
margarine
garlic salt
Spread margarine on roll halves and sprinkle with garlic salt. Toast under broiler until lightly browned. Add pepperjack cheese to each roll half and let melt slightly. Add 6 meatballs to each bottom half and top with top half. Enjoy!
