French Toast

July 18th 2009 17:36
MMMM - sweet and gooey breakfast. My kids love French toast covered with syrup and confectioners sugar. I don't make it often, but once in awhile, they deserve a treat for breakfast.

French Toast
Home made French toast frying on griddle.

6 slices bread

2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons confectioners sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Heat griddle and spray with non-stick spray. Mix eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla in flat bottom bowl. Dip bread slices, on at a time, to coat both sides with mixture, place on griddle. Cook about 3 minutes each side, till nicely browned. Serve hot with your favorite toppings: butter, syrup, confectioners sugar, jam or jelly, fruit, etc.

Should serve 6 - but in my family this only serves 3!

Happy Eating!
